TetraPoland is a hobbyist portal dedicated to the amateur TETRA network in Poland — created out of a passion for radio communications.
Where did it all start?
It all began with a fascination with the uniformed services and how their radio communication works — how it operates, on what frequencies they transmit, and what lies behind the digital TETRA standard that replaced analog radios in the Polish services. The deeper we dug, the more this subject drew us in.
Our friend Marcin SP8MB went a step further — as the first person in Poland he built a miniature amateur TETRA BTS — TETRASPOT, proving that this technology is also available to hobbyists. This inspired us to create a place where knowledge about TETRA would be available in Polish and English — for anyone who wants to explore this subject.
